Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension scheme (IGNOAPS)
The scheme is centrally sponsored and shared by Central and State Govt. on 50:50 basis. Financial Assistance is provided to old aged persons of 60 years age and above, living below poverty line (BPL).
The application forms are available with DSWO/TSWO free of cost. The applicant has to complete the application form and enclose proof regarding age, income, status and address. Complete case is to be submitted to the concerned Tehsil Social Welfare officer against proper receipt. The concerned Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) consolidates the list of eligible applicants under the scheme and forwards it to the concerned District Social Welfare Officer for arrangement of funds and accord of sanction by a designated District level Sanctioning Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner of the concerned District.
